KCON programs are based on our philosophy of nursing education and organizing framework, to foster the behaviors that faculty believe are most important for the roles of provider of care, designer/manager/coordinator of care, and member of the profession. These include: critical thinking; communication; assessment, health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention; illness and disease management; information and health care technologies; ethics; human diversity; and, global health care.

Admission Requirements

Eligible applicants will have:

• Acceptance into 大 Valley State University as a degree-seeking undergraduate student no later than the winter semester preceding the start of the professional nursing program.  要注意 application deadline to 博天堂官方 as it will be during the fall semester. 
• The first bachelor’s degree must be earned and verified prior to the first day of the professional nursing program.
• 总绩点3.0 or higher (includes 博天堂官方 and non-博天堂官方 graduate and undergraduate coursework).
• 总绩点3.0 or higher in the admission pre-requisite courses and a minimum grade of “C” in each course. 这些课程 include BIO 355, BMS 250, BMS 251, BMS 212, CHM 230, and PSY 364.
• Adhere to the Kirkhof College of Nursing course repeat policy: 学生 may repeat three admission pre-requisite courses of which two can be BMS, CHM, or BIO. No required course may be repeated more 不止一次.                                       
• In addition, BMS 305, BMS 310, and STA 215 must be completed with a minimum grade of “C” before starting the professional nursing program.

COMPETITIVE ADMISSION PROCESS

The Kirkhof College of Nursing admits 24 students into the Spring/Summer semester, 24 students into the Fall semester, and 24 students into the Winter semester. Admission to the nursing program is highly competitive, and students who only meet the minimum criteria 不得入内.
